Sustainability at Sareen

Better sleep shouldn't cost the earth.

We didn't choose Tencel™ Lyocell because it's sustainable. We chose it because it's the best sleep fabric we've found. The fact that it's also one of the most responsibly made fibers in the world, that's why we never looked back.

A fiber that starts with trees

Tencel™ Lyocell is made from eucalyptus wood, sourced from certified, responsibly managed forests. Eucalyptus grows quickly, doesn't need irrigation or pesticides, and thrives on land unsuitable for food crops. Compared to cotton, it requires a fraction of the water and land to produce the same amount of fabric.

Closed-loop, not open-ended

The wood is transformed into fiber in a closed-loop process: more than 99% of the water and solvents used are recovered and reused, again and again. No toxic runoff, no wasted resources. It's one of the cleanest fiber production processes in the textile industry and it's independently certified, not just claimed.

Gentle on skin, gentle at end of life

Tencel™ Lyocell is fully biodegradable. Unlike polyester sleepwear, which sheds microplastics with every wash and lingers in landfills for centuries, our fabric returns to nature at the end of its (long) life.

Made to be kept, not replaced

The most sustainable garment is the one you don't throw away. That's why we design in small, considered collections, timeless cuts, quality construction, colors that don't date. Sleepwear you'll reach for every night, for years.

Honest about the journey

We're a small brand, and we don't pretend to be perfect. We're constantly working to improve, from packaging to shipping to how our pieces are made. If you have questions about how we work, ask us directly: support@sareen.com. We'll give you a straight answer.

Sleep cool. Tread lightly.
